Torrance, Calif. (Jan. 6, 2016) – Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. continues to provide one-of-a-kind, in-dash system upgrades for the Jeep Wrangler and various trucks and SUVs. All Alpine Restyle 9-inch models are on display at the 2016 International CES, taking place Jan. 6-9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
At the center of the program is the X009, a multi-function system with audio, video and navigation features. The X009 has a distinctive 9-inch touch screen and Alpine is the only manufacturer offering systems with this screen size for the North American aftermarket.
Each X009 is packaged with a Restyle dash kit that is Alpine engineered for the specific vehicle platform.. The included dash bezel comes in the color, finish and shape to match the factory dash. Each bezel has back-lit hard keys to match the lighting in the factory instrument cluster and fully replace the factory radio knobs. Each Alpine Restyle dash system consists of the X009, matching dash bezel and all necessary accessories for plug-and-play installation including an Alpine/vehicle-specific harness, antenna adapter (if required) and a two-way, data-driven vehicle interface module.

Included iDatalink® Maestro® Module
The X009 Restyle dash systems retain many of the factory vehicle controls and features through the included iDatalink Maestro module. A dedicated hard key provides direct access to the iDatalink features (module not included with the X009-U). Examples of factory features that can be retained through the X009 include: OnStar™ from GM, Uconnect® from Chrysler, SYNC® from Ford, SiriusXM, factory amplified system, rear seat entertainment system, HVAC controls, rear view camera and steering wheel controls. Users can choose customized vehicle information (diagnostic data, gauge screen, parking assist screen, etc.) to be viewed on the screen (retained features and customized vehicle information vary by vehicle model).
Alpine TuneIt® App for Sound Tuning
All X009 Alpine Restyle dash solutions are compatible with the Alpine TuneIt App, a free smartphone app for easy sound tuning. The app allows users to tweak sound settings on their own or to choose from pre-made settings in the database, like Time Correction, Parametric EQ and Crossover. If the vehicle has Alpine speakers and subwoofers, these items can also be selected within the app for precise audio system tuning. Settings can be shared with and rated by other users.
Audio Features
Audio features available on the X009 Restyle dash systems include:
HD Radio™ Technology: The built-in HD Radio receiver delivers free, crystal clear digital sound from the more than 2,000 AM and FM stations broadcasting with HD Radio Technology and includes Artist Experience, MultiCast and iTunes Tagging support. Alpine’s MediaXpander® technology provides further enhanced sound quality by adding back missing harmonics in compressed media. Pandora® internet radio: Pandora control is available from iPhone® and Android™ smartphones. Users can create new Pandora stations, rate songs with thumbs up or down, and bookmark songs for later purchase. SiriusXM: All models are SiriusXM-Ready™ and connect to the SiriusXM SXV300 Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit (sold separately, subscription required). SiriusXM features include: pause, rewind and replay up to 60 minutes of content while listening to satellite radio; start songs from the beginning when tuned to any favorite music channel using TuneStart™; scan and select songs on favorite music channels with TuneScan™. iPod® and iPhone: The X009 systems are “Made for iPod and iPhone” compatible and have USB access. Video and Navigation Features
The X009 Restyle dash systems have a full WVGA high-resolution screen for crisp, detailed picture quality. The Dual Zone video control lets drivers use a source in the dash while the back seat passengers enjoy a separate video on the rear seat screen (optional screen sold separately). The X009 has an HDMI input for connectivity to HDMI-enabled mobile devices (optional adapter may be required).
Alpine’s proprietary navigation interface includes pre-loaded maps of the United States, Canada and more than seven million Points of Interest (POIs). Major landmarks, buildings and terrain details for major cities are depicted in 3D. Driving directions are delivered through text-to-speech announcements, and the highway services list displays the services available at each exit (gas, food, ATMs, etc.) to help drivers make quick decisions while en route. The system comes with free lifetime HERE Traffic RDS service.
Bluetooth® Wireless Technology Features
The X009 uses Alpine’s advanced Bluetooth wireless technology, which features secure simple pairing (SSP); phone battery, cellular signal level and received message icons; as well as call waiting. Sound quality features include MediaXpander technology, improved audio streaming, and enhanced phone call sound quality. For specific vehicles, a specially-designed microphone is built into the external keys for optimized sound quality during calls.
“My Favorites” Customizable Settings
The popular “My Favorites” feature lets users customize quick-access screens with up to 80 shortcuts to their most-used features. Two separate users can each design up to 10 favorites page profiles with eight shortcuts per page. Shortcuts can be created from audio sources, navigation commands (favorite places direct search, nearest POI search) and phone settings (favorite person direct call). The shortcuts are easily added by pressing the shortcut soft key that appears within all audio and hands-free sources. The Alpine system recognizes each user’s profile (via Bluetooth wireless technology from his or her smartphone) and automatically loads the user’s system preferences when the system is started.
Drive Assist Compatibility
All 9-inch Restyle dash systems are compatible with Alpine’s drive assist products which include front and rear view camera systems. The Restyle dash systems have a parking guide which overlays visual markers onto the rear view image when it’s projected on the in-dash screen.
